Type of information: longitudinal. cancer incidence; Mortality; cancer prevalence; cancer survival; Patient name; Date of birth; Personal identification number; place of residence; Primary tumour information; Date of diagnosis, ICD-10 code of the primary site and topography; Stage; Pathological TNM; Clinical TNM; ICD-O-3 code of morphology; Behavior; Most valid basis of diagnosis; Date source and name of the doctor who has diagnosed cancer. Available type of information: cancer incidence rate (per 100,000 inhabitants); sex; age; Tumour location; Standardized incidence rate for the European population and for the world population (per 100,000 inhabitants); cancer survival rate; Mortality rate; Number of tumour cases; The TNM stage of the tumour; Number of survivors (after 1, 5, and 10 years from diagnosis) and relative survival (in %, after 1 and 5 years from diagnosis); Time since diagnosis.
Source of information: The register is continuously updated with reports about new cancer cases sent by primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare institutions from across the country.
Data level: patient level.
Available data level: national level.
Number of records: Contains information regarding the whole territory of Lithuania. Contains more than 500,000 reports and, each year, more than 20,000 new cancer cases are added to the registry.
Date range: Regarding patient level data, there is data about diagnosed cancer cases from 1978 onwards and data about cancer mortality from 1990 onwards. National level data is available from 2006 onwards.
