The Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron is part of the EHDEN Network of Data Partners.
The European Health Data and Evidence Network (EHDEN) aims to standardize European health data using OMOP-CDM to facilitate research. The project creates a federated network of data sources for easy access by researchers and policymakers. Its goal is to improve healthcare outcomes through better data quality and interoperability.
Primary purpose: To integrate and store comprehensive healthcare data from both inpatient and outpatient visits for facilitating patient care and potential research.
Type of information: The database combines information from Vall d’Hebron's data lake, web service for clinical variables, and XML-extracted notes, serving as a resource for both direct and transferred patient care.
Data level: Regional level.
Number of records: 1,431,531 patients.
Data range: 1955 onwards.
