Survey: The Estonian Health Interview Survey (ETeU) (Estonia)

Primary purpose: The aim of ETeU is to assess the health status of the Estonian population, the factors influencing it, the restrictions caused by health, the need for assistance, the use of health care services and to compare the results with previous surveys.

Type of information: longitudinal. The questionnaire covers a broad range of health-related topics, such as demographic information and health status, such as age, sex, year, self-perceived health, diagnosis, periodicity of physician consultation, number of drugs; lifestyle and environment: employment status, alcohol consumption, smoking habit; mental health and well-being; functional and physical limitations: explores physical disabilities or difficulties in performing daily tasks; accidents and injuries: medical procedures; chronic conditions: specific questions are dedicated to a range of chronic illnesses and conditions.
