= Ovarian cancer = Due to often late detection, ovarian cancer is one of the deadliest gynecological malignancies. One in 70 women will develop ovarian cancer, most often between the ages of 50 and 70. Due to the complexity of treatment and various therapeutic options that include surgery and hormone therapy, patients with ovarian cancer face numerous challenges. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure comprehensive support measures that include medical care, psychological support, and education to improve the quality of life of patients and facilitate coping with the disease. Ovarian cancer is divided into 4 categories: Stage 1 - one or both ovaries/fallopian tubes are affected Stage 2 - the disease has spread to the uterus and surrounding tissues Stage 3 - the disease has spread to the abdomen outside the pelvic area Stage 4 - the disease has spread to distant organs and tissues
