= Examples of successful supportive activities of croatian associations = Civil society organizations and patient associations play a vital role in providing support to patients with leukemia. These groups often offer peer support systems where patients can connect with others going through similar experiences, providing a sense of community and understanding. They can also organize educational workshops and seminars to inform and educate patients to empower them to actively participate in the treatment process. Patient associations are also active in health and social care systems policies through raising public and policy makers’ awareness of patient needs, and patients about their rights. A large number of civil society organizations operate in Croatia that provide support to cancer patients.
