= Examples of successful supportive activities of croatian associations = Civil society organizations, patient associations play a vital role in providing support to myeloma patients. These groups often offer peer support systems where patients can connect with others going through similar experiences, providing a sense of community and understanding. They can also organize educational workshops and seminars to inform and educate patients to empower them to actively participate in the treatment process. Patient associations are also active in health and social care system policies by raising awareness among the public and policymakers about the needs of patients, and informing patients about their rights. There are a large number of civil society organizations operating in Croatia that provide support to cancer patients.
