Civil society organizations, patient associations play a vital role in providing support to patients with endometrial, vulvar, vaginal or cervical cancer. These groups often offer a system of peer support where patients can connect with others going through similar experiences, providing a sense of community and mutual understanding.

They can also organize educational workshops and seminars in order to inform and educate patients to empower them to actively participate in the treatment process.

Patient associations are also actively involved in health and social care system policies by raising awareness the public and political stakeholders about the needs of patients, and the patients themselves about their rights.
