Additionally, the study included an examination of the carotid artery (thickness of the neck vessels), bone density measurements, and factors related to chronic pain and work conditions. After 5 years, participants underwent a follow-up examination. This included another questionnaire, measurements of body constitution, blood pressure, a glucose tolerance test (OGTT), an ultrasound of the carotid arteries, an assessment of arterial stiffness, and additional blood samples.
