The Kortrijk Cancer Centre AZ Groeninge is part of the EHDEN Network of Data Partners.
The European Health Data and Evidence Network (EHDEN) aims to standardize European health data using OMOP-CDM to facilitate research. The project creates a federated network of data sources for easy access by researchers and policymakers. Its goal is to improve healthcare outcomes through better data quality and interoperability.
Primary purpose: Provide a dataset for selected medical conditions extracted from the electronic patient record to be used in research.
Type of information: The AZ Groeninge database contains comprehensive patient data, including textual records processed by context-specific NLP algorithms, and maps up to 250 clinically relevant datapoints to OMOP-CDM for each clinical context.
Data level: regional level.
Number of records: 679,000 patients.
Data range: 2010.
Data Access: not publicly available. Instructions for data request https://www.azgroeninge.be/nl/patient/diensten/clinical-trial-center click here to access].
